The six-hour race featured nine full-course cautions and ended under yellow after a dramatic final restart with 10 minutes to go.. Battling for second entering Turn 1, Kévin Estre's No. 6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 and Jack Aitken's No. 31 Cadillac Whelen V-Series.R collided, sending both cars into the tire barriers and out of the race. Neither driver was injured.

A post-race penalty assessed to the No. 23 Aston Martin THOR Team Valkyrie for avoidable contact with Renger van der Zande's No. 93 Meyer Shank Racing Acura promoted the No. 5 JDC-Miller MotorSports Porsche 963 of Tijmen van der Helm, Kaylen Frederick and Laurin Heinrich to second, with the No. 40 Cadillac of Jordan Taylor and Louis Delétraz completing the podium.
Jeremy Clarke, Tom Dillmann and Bijoy Garg earned Inter Europol Competition's second consecutive LMP2 victory after surviving an incident-filled opening hour that impacted the pole-sitting No. 22 United Autosports USA entry, plus the team's No. 2 car, and five others. The No. 04 CrowdStrike Racing by APR Oreca LMP2 07/Gibson finished second to retain the class points lead, with the No. 11 TDS Racing third.
In GTD Pro, Canada's Pfaff Motorsports snapped its three-year winless streak as Andrea Caldarelli and Sandy Mitchell delivered the No. 9 Lamborghini Temerario GT3 its first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory. Nick Tandy and Harry King finished second for AO Racing in their Porsche 911 GT3 R, followed by Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports' Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg.
Winward Racing claimed its second straight victory in GTD, as Russell Ward, Philip Ellis and Indy Dontje captured their third class win of the season in the No. 57 Mercedes-AMG GT3. The No. 023 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT# EVO and No. 81 DragonSpeed Corvette ZO6 GT3.R completed the class podium.
Sean Dylan Kelly earned his third MotoAmerica Superbike victory of the season Saturday, holding off Bobby Fong to win the QUAD LOCK Superbike Race 1 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Kelly, riding the OrangeCat Racing BMW, started alongside polesitter Benjamin Smith, who edged him by just 0.005 seconds in qualifying. Kelly led the opening two laps before Smith took control on Lap 3 and held the point through Lap 7.
Fong, aboard the Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha, moved into the lead on Lap 8 and posted the race's fastest lap at 1:24.770. Kelly stayed within striking distance before retaking the lead on Lap 14, then pulled away to secure his ninth podium finish of the 2026 season.
Fong finished second, while teammate JD Beach completed the podium in third. Smith faded to fourth, followed by Warhorse HSBK Ducati teammate Loris Baz in fifth. Mathew Scholtz, Hayden Gillim, Richie Escalante, Jayson Uribe and PJ Jacobsen completed the top 10.
Mathew Scholtz captured his fourth MotoAmerica Superbike victory of the season Sunday, winning a red flag-shortened Quad Lock Superbike Race 2 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Riding the Strack Racing Yamaha, Scholtz was declared the winner after the race was stopped for a second time with nine laps completed. He finished 0.177 seconds ahead of OrangeCat Racing BMW rider Sean Dylan Kelly, while Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha's Bobby Fong was awarded third.
The race was interrupted almost immediately when polesitter Benjamin Smith crashed his Warhorse HSBK Ducati on the opening lap, sending his motorcycle across the track and bringing out the first red flag. After the restart, Kelly grabbed the early lead before Scholtz mounted his challenge.
PJ Jacobsen produced one of the day's fastest performances, climbing to third while setting the race's quickest lap at 1:25.009. However, the Rahal Ducati Moto with XPEL rider crashed, triggering the second red flag. Because more than two-thirds of the scheduled distance had been completed, officials declared the race complete, with Jacobsen dropping to 17th after a stewards' penalty.
Loris Baz finished fourth, followed by Cameron Petersen in fifth. Jayson Uribe and Brandon Paasch completed the top seven, while Richie Escalante and Hayden Gillim retired after separate crashes.
After 11 events, Kelly is in first place with 197 points, followed by Beach (177), Scholtz (168), Fong (146), and Peterson (118). With three rounds remaining, including two triple-header weekends, 150 championship points remain available.
